Timpani Lessons

It's important to find the right teacher when you're serious about taking timpani lessons in Boise.

I've had the fortune of studying with world-class timpanists from the New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Seattle Symphony. As Principal Timpanist of the Opera Idaho orchestra, I'm able to put this first-class instruction to use on a regular basis.

I'm also able to pass along these insights to my own timpani students along with the perspective and experienced that I've gained in my 20-year teaching and performing career. When teaching timpani, it's important to address technique, musicianship, and repertoire. I have a syllabus that systematically covers these subjects, along with ear training and other timpani-related topics.

Boise-based students enrolled in timpani lessons are also eligible to borrow timpani to practice on at no charge.
